the Woman behind the Jewelry…

For over twenty years, Katerina Evanthia has been transforming precious metals, diamonds and gemstones into compelling hand-crafted jewelry. Inspired by her Greek heritage and educated in sculpture, metalsmithing, CAD, art history, she has an innate ability to capture complex design concepts, and the aesthetics of emotions into jewelry.

Katerina works by appointment and gives each client undivided attention to ensure the freshness and joy of the design process.

In recognition of her artistry, the Cultured Pearl Association of America awarded her designs, the Retailer’s Choice Award in 2022. Additionally her work has been exhibited at The Chicago Art Institute, Riverside Art Museum, Bookworks Gallery and published in “Textile Techniques in Metal” by Arline Fisch.

Retailer’s Choice Award 2022

In 2022, the Cultured Pearl Association of America, asked 4,000 of the nations top Jewelry stores to choose their single favorite piece from all US finalists their annual design competition. Katerina Evanthia’s Thermal Blue Byzance Earrings were chosen for the Retailer’s Choice Award.

Fabricated in in 14k rose gold with natural colour Japanese Akoya pearls and 6.68 ct princess cut Blue Topaz.

Other Projects

After the devastating fire in1978 at the Electric building in Balboa Park, San Diego, Katerina was called upon as a sculptor to restore the façade of the building from surviving fragments and vintage photos.
